about

HD-48-24, remastered.

'The qualities of these sounds stand out as in a symphonic composition... He is a pioneer of ambient sound composition... the result cannot be anything but brilliant: the control of every single ring of the chain is perfect, there are no flaws…’
Aurelio Cianciotta, ‘Neural Magazine,’ Italy, 2019 review

The sun roars with thousands of resonant frequencies that cease at the vacuum of space. But analysis of the oscillations of the Sun's mass enables scientific reproduction of its sounds. 'Under the Sun REM' features only modeled solar sounds scaled to the range of human hearing. Narrowed by filtration to various frequency bandwidths, the sounds become the sonic material for this composition of orchestral weight.

This recording is a binaural stereo version of the original 8.2 channel installation sound. Unlike previous presentation formats, this remastered version offers the original HD audio format used in the studio during composition of the work.

'Et le soleil déplace, à tout moment, les mirages, vers où s’en va l’égarement.'
And the sun ever shifts, every moment, the mirages, where advances the delusion.
Le silence, Émile Verhaeren

Available in 48 kHz, 24-bit sound and other audio formats.
